AT HOME AFTER YOUR SURGERY
It is very important that you follow your home care instructions. Call your doctor for any questions or problems. If you received general anesthesia, regional block, or IV sedation, you will need someone to drive you home and stay with you. If you prefer, your ride may be called when you are ready for discharge. Please give the nurse in the pre-operative area the name and phone number of your ride.
Due to the effects of anesthesia, you should not drive a car, operate machinery, make important decisions or drink any alcoholic beverages for 24 hours following surgery.
Be sure to schedule a post-operative appointment with your surgeon. A nurse from the Center will contact you after your surgery to see how
you are feeling and to address any questions or concerns. We want to make sure that your recovery progresses well, and that you were totally
satisfied with our services.
Thank you for choosing Dearborn Surgery Center
